Pattern

If this has happened to me one in the past month, it must have happened a 100 times. A critical pot, I go in with the best hand and get outdrawn. Unbelievable really.

Whinge

My run of luck in the last month has been unbelievable. It all started to go wrong shortly after I won an MTT on June 11th. That built my bankroll up to £900. Since then, I've had a devasting run of luck and my bankroll now stands at £350. A £550 loss in the last month. this going some, at small stakes.

Take today for example. I play 3 £5 STT's. In the first, my stack is decimated when I flop a straight but get beat by a backdoor flush. I don't recover. The next, I did quite well. Went out on the bubble after picking up 10 straight hands with nothing higher than a 9. The third, I limp into a pot with A8. The flop comes AAQ. All the chips go in. I get beat by A9. Out I go.

Fishing on MTT's

It's pretty annoying to go out of an MTT in this fashion.

Losing chips

I thought I'd loosen up my play a little. It worked quite well for a while. I was sitting pretty with 2,000 chips. Then it all falls apart. I raise 300 chips with A8, someone goes all-in and I call. I lose to KQ. That leaves me with 1,100 chips. Next hand, I'm dealt QJ. I call for 100 chips, miss the flop and fold. Down to 1,000 chips. Next, I'm on BB with A7d. 2 limpers, so I go all-in. Button calls with KQ and I lose. Down to 200 chips. Next hand, I'm dealt 97o. I'm in SB, I go all-in. A 3-way pot. The flop comes 568. Great I thought, about to triple up. Unfortunately, BB has 97o too. I've 300 chips now. Next hand, I'm in the button and go all-in. BB shows 65o and wins. That's it. I'm out.

Raising

Why don't people fold to a raise. Always baffles me.
